Support the people of Xhoo by joining us for an immersive experience of cultural exchange, storytelling, and local cuisine.

Xhoo is a small rural village near Maun which borders a wildlife concession in the Okavango Delta. The community has no access to reliable sources of income and few job opportunities. Their lifestyles are predominantly subsistence based – relying mostly on livestock rearing and gathering of natural resources. The community is excited to share their lifestyle and history with visitors and in turn learn about other cultures and ways of life.

After a breath-taking scenic flight over the Okavango Delta, touch-down in Xhoo for a 3-hour hosted experience where you will be offered tea and traditional snacks while exchanging stories about culture, lifestyle, and lived experiences.

This project is run by Mmila Mela – a registered Non- Profit Organisation – which has been working with Xhoo since 2021 to help develop community support structures and income generating activities. 25% of your payment is donated to Mmila Mela – 50% of your which goes towards supporting the operational costs of our development initiatives such as the Xhoo playgroup and feeding program for children under five. The remaining 50% goes directly to the community as livelihood support.
