A must-do experience in the delta We did a camping safari through Botswana for 16 days and the helicopter tour was one of the additional options we had. We are so glad we decided to do it. Of our group of 16 people, only 4 of us decided to do the tour and the other 12 people regretted not doing it after. 2 of our guides we able to join us as well and it was a first time for both of them, they both said they were amazed by it. It is so unique because they take the doors off the sides of the helicopter (not nearly as scary as it may sound) so you get this incredible view the entire time. Also, the helicopter gets so much lower to the ground than the normal flight does. This was unique not just for all the wildlife you see but being able to see the winding rivers from above is so amazing. You won't regret doing this and that also comes from two guides who have years of experience.

Best View of the Delta Ever! This ride was the best way to get an appreciation for the size and diversity of the delta. From the overhead views in the wettest, most inaccessible parts of the delta to the reed skimming low rides over the drier areas, the views of the landscape and wildlife were incredible! And the pilot was a delta expert to boot with great explanations of the geographic features, fauna and flora. Be sure to take this ride.
